Quality Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees Quality Assurance, providing direction, advice, and guidance so that the departmental employees can effectively complete their assignments and consistently meet customer, company, and department objectives
  • Facilitates corrective action teams (8D or 5-Why) to address defective quality in all products within the value stream
  • Oversee compliance, maintenance and/or achievement of quality management systems ISO-14001 & TS- 16949
  • Develop and implement effective and efficient preventive and corrective actions
  • Maintain and improve Total Customer Satisfaction by completing product, process, system, dock, compliance, and surveillance audits
  • Prepare annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Lead the new launch team for smooth launch following APQP process and ensure timely PSW submission and approval
  • Review, update, control and approve PPAP documentation
  • Provide technical training to quality department personnel and evaluate the performance periodically and initiate improvement plans as needed
  • Develops and manages the calibration program which includes gages, check fixtures, and other measuring devices
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues
  • Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues
  • Facilitate analysis on field returns/warranty claims and create a report for claim reduction
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial)
  • 5-8 years’ QA experience in an automotive environment, a PLUS to have QA experience with stamping and assembly parts
  • Knowledge on PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and Control plan
  • Specific experience with ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve current and future issues as required
  • MS office 2008 or higher, especially EXCEL, POWERPOINT, ACCESS
  • Knowledge of CMMs/Scanners and other automated measuring devices.
