HR Manager

We seek an energizing, passionate Plant HR Manager for a leading, global CPG (consumer packaged goods) manufacturing facility east of St Louis, MO. This is a non-union plant with over 200 employees.
This opportunity offers a fast track to career advancement.
Highly visible role with both strategic and tactical components. The successful candidate will work as a strategic business partner with the plant leadership advising on HR issues (Steve – is there a better word for “issues” as that sounds negative. I like the word “advising”), evaluate the state of HR in the plant, identify opportunities for improvement and develop & execute a strategic vision for the HR function.
This hands-on HR Manager will be responsible for the daily management of HR functions within this facility. Emphasis will be on providing support and coaching to leadership, employee career growth and development, succession planning, employee relations, investigations, hourly and salary recruiting, maintaining a union-free environment, compensation, benefits, EEO/AAP, and other human resource generalist functions.
Reports directly to the HR Director with dotted like to the Plant Manager. This position has one direct report.
 
 

Qualifications

· BS Degree. PHR/SHRM-CP, a plus.
· 8 + years HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years of management experience.
· Familiarity with Lean initiatives, a plus.
· A strategic and tactical hands-on business partner.
· Able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
