Program Manager

Auburn Hills, Michigan
We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to lead the SWE program team (or subteam) and meet timing, cost, quality and performance targets.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
-Plan program end-to-end
-Work with Customer DREs/PMs to set targets with stakeholders, finalize releases, plan, publish, coordinate, communicate, implement software and/or hardware releases, and track & report progress
-Identify resource requirements and agree resource allocation with Team Leaders / Managers
-Manage engineering risks and escalate as required to Program Management
-Ensure customer satisfaction (internal and external)
-Manage Suppliers and engineering partners
-Plan and carry out reviews and sign-offs
-Adhere to Customer Processes
-Work closely with Finance (pricing and recoveries)
-Identify, document, assign, track, resolve, report issues including assisting with software and hardware troubleshooting as and when needed
-Assist with Service/Warranty Hardware/Software, Releases, and Troubleshooting
-Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
-Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities at regular interval
-Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
-Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
-Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
-Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources.
-Chair the project management team meetings internally and with customer
-Provide weekly status reports related to project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and stake-holders
-Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
-Manage project scope and changes
-Act as an internal quality control check for the project
-Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
-Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
-Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables along with weekly status reports
-Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team
-Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standard
-Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master´s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics as appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • AUTOSAR AND A-SPICE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
  • PMP/Prince 2 certified (Preferred)
  • Overall 10+ years of Industry experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
  • 3+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • 3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of embedded software development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support the lifecycle
  • Fluent in English
