The Engineer is focused on identifying, prioritizing and implementing cost reduction projects at and industrial manufacturing plant. This position will directly report to the Plant Manager and act as the key liaison between the Plant Manager and the manufacturing organization; and is critical to achieving maximum financial benefit from the plant’s capital expenditures, production equipment and fixed assets, in accordance with the operation’s goals and objectives. Responsibilities include being self-motivated and a high level of autonomy to complete projects with limited guidance.
Knowledge and Skills (Education):
B.A. / B.S. in a scientific discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
Non-woven converting experience
3 to 5 years of manufacturing operations, program management, capital project development
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Principles
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, O
