Strategize and work with plant leaders: continuing to develop, implement, and sustain World Class Manufacturing, Lean Mfg and CI improvement programs

Teach / coaches and mentors direct reports (succession planning.
Leading / Driving CI (Plant level): evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes (VSM, Kaizen, Training, 5s, PDCA) – Monitor progress (KPIs), Track of cost savings
Employs Lean methodologies and tools and assists with the implementation of Lean Mfg systems: set goals and strategies
Identify the priorities for process / productivity improvements that impact production and business results: IE. Waste elimination and reduction projects.
Takes the lead on floor plan layout and overall material flow strategy, ensuring lean methodology and adherence to best and safe practices.
Develops quotes for capital projects.
Conducts time study analysis and methods development.
Recommends new, replacement or improvement of equipment.
Ensures proper documentation of processes, equipment, systems, employee relation issues, investigations, etc.
ASSIST & SHARED RESPONSIBILITES
Production Department: Work cell balancing and optimization both prior to and during production.
Materials Department: Work on packaging, material storage/retrieval, and material routing optimization.
Integration of all manufacturing and process engineering changes into production.
Capacity planning to meet future objectives.
Launching programs (concurrent with production).
Production planning ensuring ensure efficient material flow and production.
Improve operator standard work (visual controls, time studies, improved gauges, etc.)
Improve overall process flow and reduce lead time in the plant.
