Works directly for EVP HR who sits on the executive management team and reports directly to the CEO. In other words, the company truly values human resources.
This is a large, multi-site, manufacturing firm. Privately held. They would like someone based in their Hartford, CT facility to manage half of the corporate HR Team. This person will manage 4 different level HR Generalists and one internal recruiter and an admin.
Focus is on Employee Relations, All Staffing / Recruiting, and strategic projects directly working with the EVP HR ( succession planning, leadership development, compensation planning, new acquisitions or division startups from an HR needs assessment, strategic planning view). They also need someone who will coach and mentor their team who all have a high potential for growth.
Will travel up to 20%, most of it by car day trips to divisions in the Northeast, one and occasionally two overnights per month.
BS/BA degree in HR, business, open to almost all, MBA is preferred.
Managed a small team of HR folks directly and be able to give examples of Coaching and Mentoring they have done.
HR Generalist experience, but has to be specifically strong in Employee Relations, Staffing at multiple levels (hourly, professional, executive), and working on long-term strategic projects
