OPERATIONS MANAGER - Construction Materials Production Division.
 
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 
*           Lead a field management team, providing day-to-day operations support, direction, and training to ensure prioritization toward continuous improvement of material production while adhering to safety and environmental compliance.
*           Conduct continuous cost reduction programs and be alert for other improvement opportunities in plant operation.
*           Ensure a safe work environment and help build a culture where safety is the first priority.
*           Be fully educated on MSHA laws and requirements and continually analyze and correct hazardous conditions.
*           Profit and loss accountability.
*           Effectively lead management staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and providing development through training.
*           Ensure compliance with all company and government policies and regulations.
*           Direct mine and pit planning.
*           Ensure the long-term reliability of all plant assets which include equipment, buildings, structures, and systems.
*           Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs.
*           Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
*           Relentlessly drive efficiencies.
*           Develop and participate in continuous improvement programs to increase productivity and cost effectiveness.
 
Qualifications:
 
*           Minimum of 5 years of quarry and material production management experience.
*           Proven technical skills in quarry and plant operations and maintenance required.
*           Displays strong leadership and personnel management skills.
*           Is proactive in the advancement of business development.
*           Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
*           Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
*           Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
*           Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
*           Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
*           Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
*           Must pass a pre-hire drug screen ( Drug Free Employer)
*           Valid driver's license
