Privately owned manufacturing company seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The qualified candidate will possess a proven track record with extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer, lead finance and accounting manager or Controller within a metals manufacturing company. The CFO will be a senior member of the executive management team, reporting to the CEO and owner of the business, and  be responsible for all accounting, treasury, payroll and information technology functions.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
*           Leading of the Accounting, Treasury, Payroll and Information Technology departments in a multi-plant, international manufacturing company, with approximately 15 - 20 US employees.
*           Banking relations, including day to day operating activities, as well as credit and loan activities and reporting requirements.
*           Coordination of corporate consolidation in accordance with US GAAP on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including annual audit by outside CPA firm.
*           Coordination of all legal activities with attorneys including litigation and intellectual property matters.
*           Coordination of annual property and casual insurance policy renewals and any policy claims related thereto.
*           Maintain relationships with general managers and financial personnel for the company's two international manufacturing subsidiaries in China and Italy.
*           Assist cost accounting and sales management in the review of significant customer pricing programs.
*           Review for approval all capital expenditure requests for all facilities, foreign and domestic.
*           Assist in preparation and review of all financial statements, forecasts and business plans.
*           Work closely with cost accounting personnel in maintaining accurate product cost standards and the updating of these costs at least annually for the business plan.
*           Work closing with cost accounting personnel on annual LIFO accounting calculations.
*           Provide responses to CEO and other managers as necessary and appropriate.
 
Primary Qualifications
 
*           BS degree in Accounting required. MBA preferred.
*           CPA certification preferred.
*           Substantial and successful experience in accounting, finance and information technology in a metals manufacturing company environment.
*           Substantial experience related to all key responsibilities listed above.
*           Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing company environment that is international in scope with annual revenues in the area of $200 million.
*           Direct and indirect supervision of sizable organizations in terms of number of employees.
*           A total team player, but a leader, in fitting into the organization and gaining the cooperation and respect of employees at all levels.
*           Experience in M&A activities including due diligence activities, purchase negotiations and bank financing.
*           Experience in foreign currency hedging activities and financial statement translations
*           Substantive experience in standard cost accounting function, including allocation of corporate and plant overhead costs in establishing machine level and product standard costs.
*           Substantive experience in general ledger and financial accounting as well as functions of accounts receivable, credit and collections, accounts payable, customer invoicing and financial reporting.
*           Experience in information technology management including, networking concepts in a virtual technology, multi-plant environment, file backups and disaster recovery plans. In addition, must be proficient in management and project upgrading of company ERP system.
