Job Description

The Manager of Corporate Accounting & SEC Reporting is a key member of the external reporting, corporate accounting and consolidations team. Along with assisting during month-end close process of the corporate entity, SEC filings, this individual will be involved in Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions as well as various special projects. This role will also be accountable for developing, implementing and administering financial controls, analysis, operating systems, internal control, and financial policies for the SEC/Corporate Accounting department within general policy guidelines. This role works closely with the Business Units and Internal Audit in achieving these goals and operates in a customer-focused, shared-services environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Assist with M&A transactions including evaluation, technical research, and post-closing evaluation.
•Assist with special projects.
•Assist with month-end close process of the corporate entity.
•Support and/or prepare key SEC filings including preparation of financial statements and related footnotes for public filings with SEC (10-Q,10-K, 11-K, 8-K, and others).
•Ability to perform GAAP technical research.
•Assist with business units as needed.
•Ensure proper and timely reporting of corporate financial activity.
•Support recording of self-insurance programs at corporate level and proper presentation in consolidated financial statements.
•Provide support to tax department.
•Ability to research new accounting pronouncements to help determine the effect on the financial results and financial statements.
•Assist with the consolidation process and related system administration including: administrate Hyperion consolidation 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE        
Minimum experience: 5-10 years
Required Industry Experience (Construction, Insulation, Trades, etc.): N/A
 A positive ‘can-do’ attitude, high level understanding of accounting principles, advanced Excel user (pivot tables, v-lookups), data analysis & presentation, modelling, SEC reporting, ability to research GAAP technical research, etc. Must be available to work outside normal business hours to accommodate month-end close and quarterly reporting.
