Required Qualifications/ Education Requirements:
 University degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or Business with the following
experience:
 10 – 15 years of manufacturing / tooling experience in automotive industry.
 5 years of manufacturing operations, program management experience in the automotive industry.
 Clear and precise understanding of automotive OEMs practices and expectations.
 Demonstrated leadership capability with leading organization for leadership and competency.
 Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written).
 Working knowledge of automotive customers.
 Excellent organizational and time management skills.




Job Description

 Risk management, ensuring risk is minimized and the corporate reputation is protected.
 Responsible for providing guidance to the manufacturing facility to setup documentation in
accordance with accepted automotive, corporate and customer standards.
 Initiates DOEs for new tools and follow through with formalized reporting to management.
 Oversee efficient lay-out of the manufacturing process, workflow in accordance with lean
the methodology with the objective of eliminating waste.
 Develop and Provide guidance with a detailed request for quotation for suppliers for tooling,
integration and products of new or potential programs within corporate guide lines.
 Detailed analysis of quotations providing detailed presentations to corporate executive
management recommending potential sources.
 Develop and provide guidance for negotiating competitive sourcing of suppliers for all aspects of
new programs.
 Develop and provide guidance for a detailed purchase order to suppliers within corporate policy
and procedures.
 Develop and provide guidance to the manufacturing facility in selection of a strong team to have
the ability to launch flawlessly.
 Coordinate and manage “run-offs” at equipment vendors against “accepted corporate criteria” as
outlined in the terms and conditions of the purchase order ensuring full coherence of corporate
polices procedures and practices.
 Responsible for the development of in-house manufacturing processes, equipment, fixtures and
tooling.
 Develop and provide guidance to error proof all aspects of the manufacturing and operational
process.
 Maintain a current knowledge of the overall aspects of the Manufacturing process, new
technology, and processes, attending
training courses, trade shows and industry conferences as required.
 Conduct studies and implement project plans to improve production efficiencies, cost reductions
and reduce manufacturing costs.
 Conduct detailed studies providing a detailed action plan and execution for cost reduction, quality
improvements and optimization of the manufacturing process to increase profitability.
 Ensure manufacturing and assembly processes comply with pertinent health, safety and
environmental legislation, practices
and procedures.
 Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe
work practices and procedures.
 Supports in the development of Process flow charts, Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA and Proto-
type builds.
 Support in the development of Preventative Maintenance Program for all manufacturing process
equipment.
