We are looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for manufacturing and tooling cost estimating of new and/or revised existing products to ensure proper costs are assigned to derive an equitable selling price, project management, including new product processing, equipment and capital expenditure recommendation and ROI analysis, and support of production departments by providing sound engineering and project coordination efforts.  Additional process, troubleshooting, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP and other quality assurance-related functions requiring engineering input.
This position works closely with other engineering and maintenance personnel to ensure that the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, and protection of physical facilities and equipment are in conformance with established policies and objectives. Additional responsibility includes completing engineering projects and initiatives under his or her direction to meet specifications, schedules, and approved budgets. This position is critical to moving the Company toward its primary technological, long-term product, and profitability objectives.

Job Description

  •     Design, construction, installation, retrofit and maintenance of facilities and systems. Plant / facilities layout and design.
  •     Start up and operation of systems - new and existing.
  •     Full support of production processes and equipment - new and existing. Includes recommending new equipment, components and services.
  •     Product and tooling design.
  •     Part programming on water jet cutting machines (FANUC and SIGMANEST software)


  •     Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering/technical discipline (mechanical preferred).
  •     5 to 10 years of experience with plant equipment, processing, project management and cost estimating. Experience in Rubber processing is preferred but not required.
  •     Experience with programmable logic controllers, machining methods, material selection, processing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics or a combination of many of these (preferred).
  •     Computer proficiency including experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, Creo, and others is required. Solid modeling experience is a plus.  
  •     Strong problem-solver. Sorts complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions. Lean Six-Sigma Green belt or Black belt (preferred).
  •     Develops detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives.
  •     Coordinates information and activities among groups with differing agendas, across multi-functional areas.
