  • Progressive Quality Assurance experience in the automotive industry as well as injection molding and manufacturing.
  • Experience with certified Quality System (ISO-TS / 16949) ASQ-CQE or equivalent certification or Q.A. Engineering
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Manager:
  • Establishes and maintains consistent quality operating procedures and documentation.
  • Manages all quality reporting for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Drives the quality system ensuring that procedures and practices are in place and being adhered to. Involvement in continuous improvement of these procedures and practices.
  • Ensures quality system integrity by departmental involvement in APQP, customer and supplier issues.
  • Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction. Tracking of key customer indicators, follow-up, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manages the corrective action process ensuring a timely customer response; driving closure as well as ensuring the quality of the responses to prevent recurrence.
  • Leads the coordination and submission of accurate PPAP documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates and maintains the metrology program.
  • Evaluates employee performance and provides timely and constructive feedback to employees on individuals and/or team members.
  • Leads the daily activities of the Quality Department to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Customer Representative for TS16949.
  • Provides direction, leadership and motivation to direct reports thru daily supervision and/or mentoring activities.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Post secondary education in quality (preference to CQE/CMQ will be given).
  • Minimum of 5 years quality management system and supervisory experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of APQP, hands on knowledge of PPAP process.
  • Proven ability to review and analyze dimensional reports.
  • Training and working knowledge on development of FMEA and control plans.
  • Full understanding of SPC and ability to apply within manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of MSA.
  • Quality auditing training and experience.
  • Strong problem solving and reporting skills.
  • Experience with Ford, GM, Toyota and BMW systems would be an asset.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles would be an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills and a team player, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Background/experience in plastic injection molding a asset.
