Summary
Primary: 
 
Reporting to the International Sales Director, the International Direct Sales Manager will lead the direct sales efforts including business development, market research, marketing and sales. He/She will play a key role the continued development of direct sales across the outdoor brands to support the overall performance. The International Direct Sales Manager will focus on identifying new business opportunities and converting these to immediate sales and possibly new distribution partners. The International Direct Sales Manager must be a self-starter, dynamic with a drive for results and have strong relationship development skills.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned and/or change.
*           Develop International Direct Sales strategy including tactical plans
*           Conduct market research to identify direct sales opportunities
*           Manage market development efforts and client communication
*           Manage the development client proposals and presentations
*           Communicate with customers and partners to convert project opportunities
*           Prepare marketing materials and conduct training of products and services
*           Travel and meet with customers and partners to develop new market opportunities
 
Supervisory Responsibilities        
                      
Develop new team of direct sales and international customer service professionals.
 
Education and/or Experience    
                          
Minimum 10 years of related professional B2B experience in similar roles with track record of delivering superior results both individually and as a team member. 
Management skills on developing and leading teams with a minimum of 5 years direct experience
Academic background is important. Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Sales, Marketing and MBA preferred.
Must be fluent in written and verbal English and equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Language Skills      
          
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Foreign language skills required given the international scope and requirements of the position
 
Travel 25% to 30%
